This coin can be verified by using the serial number and MS64 grade at the NGC site to "Verify NGC Certification". 774,700 of these 1889-S double eagle gold coins were minted in San Francisco. High quality survivors like the coin I am offering are extremely rare. Compare the clear absence of bag handling marks common with coins of this era, note the blindingly bright surface luster, quality of strike and surviving condition of this coin so you can easily see MS64+ to MS65 should have been the grade of this coin. I believe my offering compares quite favorably to anything you can find being shown online anywhere.
