    Description

    ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1920s numbered nursing graduation pin for the Chicago Training School for Home and Public Health. The school was founded in 1919 as a proactive effort against recurring influenza epidemic, and at the time the faculty were members of the Chicago Health Department. The pin octagonal is by S. D. Childs & Company and is nicely enameled.
    VINTAGE: Circa 1920s.
    SIZE: Approximately 1"x 1"
    MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-filled, enamel.
    ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
