    Description

"A Better Day's Work" is a booklet put out by the Burroughs Adding Machine Co in Detroit, MI.  It was published in 1908.  It is a softcover book measuring 5x6.75".  159 glossy pages that show tanning due to age.  The cover is dirty and the previous owner's name is above the title (faint, in pencil).  The bookplate on the cover is dirty.  The cover is a heavy paper that is larger than the pages so it folds over.  There is a split at the bottom of the spine on the paper, but the booklet is intact and in no danger of falling apart.  The spine is faded/discolored.  Inside, you can see the staples where the paper has been folded over many times.  This book has wonderful b/w lithographs and also color lithographs of Burrough adding machines.  This is a type of instruction booklet that also illustrates the 58 types of adding machines they offer.  A great old booklet!  Perfect for the collector of these machines.
