Antique Marchant KC pinwheel Calculating Machine clearing ? handle part 1920s

Description

small handle on upper right of KC calculator. I think maybe for clearing but not sure. shows a little wear but in good condition and spins well.  metal arm measures 1 3/8" long. screw shaft depth 1/2" and square shaft hole is 5/16".  thanks for looking
