    Offered for your consideration is this Antique Solid Mahogany Wood Early 1900's National Cash Register Floor Model Base. It was manufactured by the National Cash Register Co of Dayton, OH and features the original brass nameplate, 7 drawers, a bottom storage bay, key to one of the 3 drawers with a lock and key to the backside door. The 4 top drawers labeled A,B,D,& E (C is not missing as the letter C was never used) are for individual departments and/or individual clerks each having their own drawer and the key that would have went with it. When it was their time to clerk they would take their key and insert it into the designated slot in the register which would unlock the drawer and their shift could begin. There are 3 additional bottom drawers and a very bottom storage compartment. This unit measures 43" high x 29-1/2" wide x 21-1/4" deep. The backside door opens with the key that we show to reveal the mechanisms of the unit. The original springs didn't come with so the pictures show everything that is included.
