    Description

Burroughs Adding Machine Cash Register Tray Antique Vintage.
Old Antique condition. Needs cleaned. Bottom has rust. Register opens and makes a bell sound when lever is pulled. the buttons function but I don't know about the functionality of the rest. The key in the pictures was found in the box; it looks like it is broken off and I don't think it actually does with this register anyway. See pictures.
Here is more info on this unit from an eBay antique dealer, AfterAllAntiques: "
This is a Burroughs Adding Machine Company Class 10 Cash Machine. Built in 1948 at the main Burroughs Plant in Detroit, MI. Very common machines for small businesses that could not afford a cash register. This is a Burroughs adding machine with features for use as a cash machine. The machine was designed to print on a receipt that would be inserted in the paper guides, as well as on the roll paper that would rewind in the back of the print area. The machine must have originally been sold to a gas station and later used at the business shown on the front. It has special keytops on the left to represent what kind of sale (gas, etc). Great paint job and in really nice condition."
