    Prestigious Salve Regine University in famous Newport, Rhode Island

    This is one of the most refined detailed Nursing Pins.  This pin is flat and the sides of the design are pierced; the edging is very detailed Laurel Leaf.  Additionally, this pin is made with Red Translucent Enamel, which is quite rare and quite attractive.
    The design is the Mercy Shield for the Salve Regina's Sister of Mercy ~ all made in Sterling Silver with Rhodium Plating to prevent tarnishing.  Made by the famous Burr, Patterson & Auld company.
