    Description

In the 19th century, Fred Suppe discovered lithia water on his Dugway farm.  Within a couple of decades, there were 7 firms bottling and selling lithia spring water in the Franklin Springs area.  Split-Rock Beverages lasted until the early 1970's, the last bottler to close their doors in the area.  Lithia water was said to have minerals beneficial to health and was advertising as such.
This is a small 7 1/2 oz. glass bottle that once contained "Split-Rock Ginger Beer Beverage".  The face of this bottle reads, " Made with Spring Water, Pure Cane Sugar. Contents 7 1/2 oz. A.C.
    Suppe
    Franklin Springs, N.Y.".
The bottle was made by Owens-Illinois and is dated 1958.  This bottle is very scarce, and unique.  The label is near perfect.  It does have a couple of chips, mostly unseen, on the bottom edge, as
    shown.
