Lot#X7S2P0A - This is an impressive and rare Carson City Gold Liberty Head Double Eagle - 1878-CC  - PCGS Reviewed as Guaranteed Genuine and XF Detail (Cleaned).   It appears to only have been cleaned on the obverse.  The reverse exhibits excellent original mint luster that is lacking on the obverse.  Overall a very impressive example of this assignment.
Only two examples reviewed as PCGS XF Detail have come to auction in the past 18 years.  They each sold for well over our opening price.
