Up for auction without reserve is a rare antique adding machine made by the Rapid Computer Company. Stamped on the front it reads The Rapid Computer Co. / No. 6389 / Benton Harbor, Mich
. This style calculator was produced in the late 19th or early 20th century by the Rapid Computer Company. The adding machine itself is in very good condition, the dials all work and the numbers will reset albeit a little cumbersome in my opinion. There is a stylus for operating the slots and a manual which has seen it's better day. The manual which is almost never with the box is folded, creased, dog-eared
with edge wear, tears, and creasing to corners. The adding machine comes in it's original box which still locks but shows lots of wear and scuffing. Th
