VINTAGE AMERICAN ADDING MACHINE , AMERICAN CAN CO. ADDING MACHINE DIVISION. IN WORKING CONDITION . I CAN NOT FIND A MODEL NUMBER HOWEVER SIMILAR ONES ARE DESCRIBED AS MODEL’0’ . MADE IN CHICAGO , PAT. 1912.
To operate you put your finger in the grove for the number you want and using your thumb raise the lever up to your finger. To add you then pull down the large lever on the right side . If you made a mistake you pull the small lever on the right side and it will cancel your last entry. To clear you pull down the large lever when all small levers are at ‘0’ . There is a screw and washer on the left side that are loose and l don’t know their use, perhaps something to do with the ‘payroll’ function. It has been sitting for many years and could use a good cleaning , the only flaws l see are some rust on the levers and missing two pads on the bottom (see pics) . Shipping USPS PRIORITY MAIL
