    16 page Souvenir program from the 1936 - 1937 ZIEGFELD FOLLIES, which was produced by Billie Burke, the widow of Florenz Ziegfeld Jr., though it was actually financed and mounted by the Shuberts. J.J.'s son, John, was the show's general manager.
    FANNIE BRICE, GYPSY ROSE LEE and BOBBY CLARK headed a starry cast, which included Ruth Harrison, Alex Fisher, Cherry and June Preisser, Stan Kavanagh, Cass Daley, Hugh Cameron, Marvin Lawler, James Farrell, Ben Yost's Varsity 8 and Jane Pickens.
    There was an array of distinguished creative personnel: Lyricist Ira Gershwin, composer Vernon Duke, sketch writers David Freedman, scenery and costume designer Vincente Minnelli (Liza's dad), dance director Robert Alton, ballet choreographer George Balanchine, sketch director Edward Clarke Lilley and Edward Dowling, production stager John Murray Anderson.
    When it reached Broadway, the show ran for 116 performances. It laid off for the summer (and toured). The musical had a return engagement on Broadway on September 14, 1936, and closed on December 19, 1936 after 112 performances.
    The souvenir program, is in very good condition, the front and back cover evidences minimal wear with very small tears, small paper loss to rear, inside pages also very good condition, some color transfer from page. Please see photos for more accurate description and condition.
